Desi's Bar & Grill - A Cozy Dive Bar with Great Food and Vibe in San Diego

This place…no words. Absolutely 5 stars from service to food to atmosphere. Desi herself Was our bartender. Service was out of this world. We had asked another bartender where all the service people go when they get off, and he told us about this place. And the pizza!!!!! Wow!! We had the PBR (pickle, bacon, ranch) and it was incredible. Doesn’t look like it from the outside, but 5 stars all around!!

I'm a huge fan of dive bars and this place doesn't disappoint! It has a great vibe with delicious food supplied by Angry Pete's Detroit Pizza and authentic Coney dogs. If you've never had one, you're in for a treat. The only way to describe them is to go and taste them! Very friendly staff and patrons with two pool tables and a dart board. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Small dive bar. Good wings. Beer, drinks. The usual. Can't complain and of course there are pool tables. Cool place. I got two orders of wings and two beers for 45 bucks.

Last month I got married at Stone Brewing in Liberty Station and headed to Desi’s with the wedding crowd for the after party. We had an amazing time filled with karaoke and lots of drinks. She was a great host and can’t wait to go back and see her again. Thanks Desi!!

Not a bad dive bar, not great either. It wasn't very busy when I went (Friday night), but the service was friendly, as well as quick. Not a huge selection of liquor either, but what they have is pretty good. Quite a few whiskeys and tequilas. I had some wings and they were ok, but not great. There's a couple of pool tables and darts. 80's and 90's music was playing too. Service - 5 Food - 3 Drinks - 4 Comfort - 4 If you want to possibly have a quite evening having drinks, watch some sports and have some good conversation, it's a good option. There's a basement with a pool table as well, so if you want some privacy, it's pretty cool. Though the restrooms are down there as well.

Desi's is a really chill, low-key bar and grill directly north of Liberty Station in Point Loma. They have a great beer selection and a full bar. They also serve remarkably good bar food. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich or the corndog. They have a jukebox, two pool tables, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. An all-around good spot to hang out for an hour or two. Update: During the pandemic, Desi’s discontinued their original kitchen and menu and brought in a third-party group to run their kitchen. The food is still great. Honestly, the food is better than anything at Stone Brewing, and Desi’s is only two blocks from there. The chicken sliders and the smash burger are delectable.

I love Desi's. This is our go-to dive bar, the service is awesome and we really appreciate Desi's passion for what she does! The food is always great, we loved the mac and cheese pizza, although it is not currently on the menu- the smash burger is great! Great value, good drinks, and fun (pool, darts, juke box). Fun ambiance as well, very casual and comfy! I had my graduation party here as well and it was a great value!!

The bartender was super friendly and the food was yummy. Took us awhile to find parking, as there's only street parking in the neighborhood available. It wasn't too loud, and my group had a great time. Just wished there were more beer options.
